THE LOCATION

The small fishing village of Imsouane is located on the Moroccan coast. Its Berber name means 'the drinking mouth'. Around 20 years ago, people started coming to Imsouane to surf its amazing, dreamy, long waves, which are perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers.

The beautiful bay and mysterious mountains surrounding the village give this place a unique energy. You’ll feel the outside world melt away as you sink into the slow pace of life here.

THE LODGE

Our accommodation is called L'Oued, a beautiful lodge just five minutes from the beach. L’Oued Lodge opened its doors in November 2023. Serenity and authenticity are reflected in its ambience and design, which utilise natural fabrics and colours, as well as Moroccan traditions such as Tadelakt.

The lodge offers spaces to suit every need. There is a communal area for sharing special moments, wide open seating areas which are perfect for reading a book or letting your mind wander, and a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy our daily yoga classes or practise on your own.

All rooms have private bathrooms and are either triple or double, with beautiful linen sheets and views of either the ocean or the mountains. Some rooms also have terraces.

A nourishing breakfast and dinner made with fresh, locally sourced products will be served every day, offering a delicious taste of local cuisine with vegan options available.

To get the perfect preparation join our Unsure Surfers Club, starting in May. There you learn to paddle properly.

Inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, or dietary requirements before the retreat begins. While we take every precaution to ensure your safety during activities like yoga and surfing, please acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved. By participating, you accept full responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or expense incurred. We recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, personal injury, trip cancellation, and equipment (especially your surfboard).

Your privacy: We are a community of like-minded individuals sharing an incredible journey. Your privacy is respected, and your personal information will only be used for organizing and administering the retreat. During the retreat, we may take photos and videos to capture our shared experiences. Some of these may be used for marketing purposes, such as on social media. By participating, you consent to being photographed or filmed. If you prefer not to appear in any media, please let us know in advance.
